3rd Annual Liquid Trucking Employee Jamboree: Food, Fun, and a Whole Lot of Family Spirit

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our 3rd Annual Employee Jamboree!
From the moment the grills fired up to the last game wrapped up, the day was packed with great food, laughter, friendly competition, and family fun—a true celebration of what makes the Liquid Trucking family so special.

Adding to the fun, Liquid Trucking podcast host Marcus Bridges took the mic as emcee, keeping the day rolling with plenty of laughs, great energy, and that trademark camaraderie that connects our team across generations. Whether you were tossing bean bags, chasing the kids through the bounce house, or catching up with coworkers over BBQ, every moment captured the heart of who we are: hardworking, fun-loving, and proud to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

The picture above is a great illustration of generations coming together to celebrate what they all love about Liquid Trucking.  Pictured from left to right: Polar Bear, started April 2001, Jim Schmitz, started April 1997, retired October 2022 and spouse, Kenny Myers, started 1998 and still working, Marcus Bridges, Liquid Trucking Podcast host, Jeff Husk “Supa”, started December 2002 and still working,  Todd Rhoades “Texas Todd”, started October 2004 and still working, Quincy Rich, started January 2023.

The Inaugural Truck Rodeo: A New Tradition is Born

This year, we kicked things up a notch with our first-ever Liquid Trucking Truck Rodeo—and let’s just say, it was a hit! Drivers put their skills to the test in a series of precision challenges that showed exactly why our team is one of the best on the road.

And in true Liquid Trucking fashion, even Founder Roger Schmidt got behind the wheel! At 70 years young and never having held a CDL, Roger joined the competition and placed respectfully well—proving that leadership isn’t just about steering the company, but leading by example. It was inspiring (and honestly, pretty awesome) to see the man who started it all out there having fun and showing he’s still got it. The results are in!  Congratulations to our winners!

  • Adam Stark – 1st Place
  • Nick White – 2nd Place
  • Harold Martin – 3rd Place

These drivers proved they’ve got the horsepower to stay in the saddle and steer their way to the top. Congratulations to our winners, and a big thank-you to every driver who participated and cheered from the sidelines—you made this first rodeo one for the books!

Great Food, Great Company, Great Memories

Between delicious BBQ, prepared by the BBQ Crew, lead by Matt Kleich, the Cornhole Tournament, the Closest-to-the-Hole golf challenge, the kids bounce house and all the family activities, the Jamboree had something for everyone. Hats, beanies, koozies, and prizes were flying, laughter filled the air, and the day wrapped up the only way it could—with full bellies and full hearts.

Looking Ahead

Every year, our Jamboree grows bigger and better, and that’s all thanks to the amazing people who make up the Liquid Trucking team. Whether you’ve been with us for decades or just joined the family, this event is our way of saying thank you for the dedication, safety, and heart you bring every single day. We’re already looking forward to next year—because at Liquid Trucking, every Jamboree just keeps getting better.
Until then, keep ridin’ safe, and we’ll see you down the road!
