It’s National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and we want to talk a moment to thank all of our driver sincerely, for the hard work and dedication they show each day. Without you, our great drivers, we would not have a strong and growing company. Without you, we do not have a company at all. But lets look at the bigger picture.
There are an average of 3.4 million truck drivers in the USA, operating around 15 million trucks. The trucking industry accounts for over 12% of all fuel purchased in the United States. You are responsible for transporting about 70% of the freight moved through this country. Which is equal to around 10 BILLION tons of virtually every commodity consumed. This translates to around $700 BILLION dollars worth of goods transported by the trucking industry every year. Our tanker trucks move some of the most valuable commodities available.
A world without you is basically unsustainable. The uninterrupted movement of freight is vital to the continued growth and success of our nation. We do not take that lightly and we are proud to be part of an industry that moves America forward, that keeps it growing.
